UN for Taiwan
UNseen Taiwan
Today, an important ally to the United States of America and the free world is in jeopardy, an ally which maintians an important position in the East Asian Pacific. It's enemy, and democracy's enemy, is the "People's" Republic of China. It is the Communist leaders at the PRC who have deployed 1500 missiles and growing at our small island nation. It is the merciless Maoists who have removed Taiwan from the United Nations and the WHO. It is the Chinese who have suffocated our ally diplomatically and economically. Our ally is Taiwan, which is a fully democratic country with regular elections. Taiwan is an important country in East Asia, where democracy is battling communism. While South Korea fends off the communists at North Korea, Taiwan has a much more difficult task: to defend itself the largest most heavily populated country in the world with 1.3 billion citizens, nuclear power, a permanent U.N. seat, and the largest army in the world. The European Union, the USA, India, Japan and other countries have been supplying Taiwan weapons and support, and the Taiwanese thank their allies for their help, but will it be enough? As China becomes bigger and bolder, how will Taiwan survive? Will China overtake Taiwan, the 23 largest economy in the world and the biggest source of motherboards and silicon chips in the world? In order to save Taiwan and other democratic nations in East Asian, the world must push for Taiwan's rejoining of the UN Security Council, and the UN. Then peace will be restored to the Taiwan Strait, and democracy will have prevailed again. Please sign the petition, UN for Taiwan, to help our Taiwanese allies and to maintain serenity in the free countries of East Asia.

Taiwan is NOT a part of China
The solid and unwavering independence of Taiwan has been questioned by many countries in the world, however these questions are merely influenced by China's cover up of two of the most important documents in the world: the San Francisco Peace Treaty and the United Nation's Charter. The San Francisco Peace Treaty not only represents the end of the second World War but also the sovereignty of Taiwan. The treaty clearly states "Japan renounces all right, title and claim to Formosa (Taiwan) and the Pescadores (Penghu)." (Article 2b, Chapter two http://www.international.ucla.edu/eas/documents/peace1951.htm) Japan was the final legal foreign administrator of Taiwan, and therefore once Taiwan was released from Japan the unadministered island of Taiwan had to follow the UN Charter of 1945. The UN Charter clearly states that trust territories (Taiwan, Korea, etc.) should enter "progressive development towards self-government or independence as may be appropriate to the particular circumstances of each territory and its peoples and the freely expressed wishes of the peoples concerned." (Article 76b, Chapter XII http://www.un.org/en/documents/charter/chapter12.shtml)
Simple Version
Japan says that it knows it doesn't own Taiwan any more. Then, the United Nations (an important "peacekeeping" organization) says that any countries without an owner should own themselves and become democratic. Therefore Taiwan became it's own owner and therefore Taiwan became independent.
The Cairo Declaration
The Cairo Declaration has proven to be a fake and a tool of the communists at China. Please read about it here: http://www.taiwannation.com.tw/ecairo.htm
